Koh Ker

Koh Ker is the modern name for the ancient city of Lingapua, which was briefly the capital of the Khmer Empire. A remote site located about 75 miles north of Angkor, it consists of more than 40 Hindu temples hidden in the jungle. During the war the area was heavily mined. In 2008 a reported 1,382 land mines were removed.
